This web page error means only one thing: the page doesn’t exist.  This happens for two reasons:

  1. The web page isn’t there.  It could be that the web address was typed in wrong; try typing it in again.
  2. It could also mean that the page isn’t there anymore.  So if you are getting this error when using a bookmark, you’ll need to update your bookmark.

In a nutshell, if you’re absolutely sure the web page is supposed to be there and you tried typing it in again or navigating to where it should be, and you’re still getting Error 404, then the page is gone.

We can’t control websites and webservers outside of Park, so if you’re sure the page should be there, look for contact information on the website and see if they can help.  If the website isn’t there, then the website is gone.

Feel free to submit a Service Ticket for help.  If the page is not a Park page, we can only provide advice.

TIP:  What if the website is gone and I needed information from that site??  You’re in luck.  There is a Web Archive site that periodically saves information from all sorts of websites around the world, and they’ve been doing it for almost 20 years.

The WayBack Machine

You can use the above site to see what a website looked like long ago, and even get information form a website that’s been taken down.  Give it a try!
