Revit Login Error




To resolve the error “We’re unable to verify that you’re signed in to use this product due to a system problem.” You will first need to uninstall the Autodesk Identity Manager.

To do this, first you will want to go to the windows icon on your taskbar and select it.

 Once you have it selected it should look like this

Next go ahead and search “Control Panel”

You will want to select the top result that looks like this

On the bottom left you will see a section that says “Programs”. Under programs there is an option that says “Uninstall a program” You will want to select that.

The next page that opens will look like this

In this page you will want to find the program called “AutoDesk Identity Manager”

Now you will want to double click the program to start the uninstall.


---Note: a window may pop up that wants you to confirm or give permission that you want to uninstall the program. You will want to confirm that.
 

You may get a popup that says “Autodesk Identity Manager is still running. Uninstalling will prevent you from using our products and will stop any Autodesk products currently running. Begin Uninstalling?”

You will want to hit “Yes”

After selecting “Yes” it will start uninstalling and look like this

Hit “Ok”

You will be prompted next to restart your computer. Once you have saved and closed everything you need go ahead and hit “Yes”

Once the computer finishes restarting you will need to reinstall the “Autodesk Identity Manager”

To do this you will want to go to this link that will download the file to install.

Download Autodesk Identity Manager

 Once you have downloaded the file go ahead and launch it. The file will be named this:

Once launched it will extract the installer and may ask for permissions to install, go ahead and give permissions.

The next popup will look like this:

Go ahead and click install

The window will show a progress bar for the install once it is finished it will look like this:

After you hit finish you have successfully reinstalled “Autodesk Identity Manager” and can try to launch Revit.
