This is likely due to the Course not being published by your Instructor yet. In Canvas, click Courses on the left, then click All Courses at the bottom of the Menu.
If your Course is listed there but is grayed out, you can email your Instructor to have them publish the Course. You can also contact Online Students by sending an email to email@example.com, or by calling 816 584 7901.
