If you would like to forward your Avaya desk phone to your cell phone, whether its a personal cell phone or a Park University issued cell phone, you must start by submitting a work order to support.park.edu.  In your ticket please be sure to include your Avaya desk phone number and the cell phone number you would like your calls to forward to


Once you have received confirmation that your ticket has been successfully submitted, it will be routed to the team that activates the EC500 forwarding function.  You will be advised that your service ticket has been resolved.  Once that occurs, complete the following steps to set up call forwarding and other EC500 functions.


To activate the EC500 feature from your telephone:

  1. Press the EC500 feature key on your telephone
  2. The light will go on beside the key indicating that the feature is active; any call received on the telephone will ring the cell phone at the same time.

To deactivate the EC500 feature from the telephone:

  1. Press the EC500 feature key on your telephone
  2. The light will go off beside the key indicating that the feature has been deactivated; calls received will only ring the desk phone.

To activate the EC500 feature from your cell phone:

  1. Dial 816-584-7990 from your EC500 active cell phone
  2. Listen for the confirmation tone; any call received on the telephone will ring the cell phone at the same time.

To deactivate the EC500 feature from your cell phone:

  1. Dial 816-584-7991 from your EC500 active cell phone
  2. Listen for the confirmation tone; calls received will only ring the desk phone.

Extending active desk phone calls to your EC500 active cell phone:

  1. While on a desk phone call, press the Extend Call feature key.
  2. Wait for your cell phone to ring and answer the call. Be sure you have joined the call before proceeding to the next step.
  3. You can then hang up the desk phone call.

An active EC500 call on the cell phone can be transferred to the desk phone:

  1. While on an EC500 call on the cell phone, press the line key the active call is on.
  2. Once you have successfully joined the call you can hang up the cell phone.

To access voice mail from your cell phone:

  1. Dial 816-746-7000
  2. Follow prompts to access your voice mail messages.
