This article will list where laptop kiosks are located. As well as proper use for students and what to do if something goes wrong.


Laptop Kiosk Locations:

Kiosk A - Thompson

Kiosk B - Norrington (Right side in Library area)

Kiosk C - Norrington (Left side in library Area)

Kiosk D - Underground Millsap Foyer


When checking out a laptop, you are loaned the laptop for 4 hours.Upon return, you must bring it back to the original kiosk you checked it out from. Failing to do so will result in an error on our end as well as the system not registering the return and charging you a late fee.


F.A.Q:


Q: What if student returned the laptop to the correct kiosk but still getting charged?

A: Laptop may have not been properly scanned and will need to be reset. Create a ticket and assign to ITS


Q: What if the laptop won't go into the kiosk?

A: Check to make sure you are putting it in on the correct side, the charging port side of the laptop should go into the kiosk first. If it's still not going through, try a different slot if available and gently fit the laptop in.


Q: How do I report a problem with the laptop?

A: The system will ask you if you would like to report an issue with the laptop when you used it. When we check kiosk status we will see the message that a laptop needs repair.


Q: The black bar that is attached to the laptop fell off or broke entirely.

A: Have student deliver laptop to either Campus Saftey, or directly to ITS when business hours are open. Create ticket and assign to ITS.


Q: Laptop isnt charging in the station.

A: Possible that the charger in the kiosk is broken or the port on the laptop itself.
